Unwholesome Roots
Mūla Akusala — the three fundamental causes of all suffering and negative mental states.
📜 From Itivuttaka 88 ↓“Greed creates harm; greed upsets the mind. That person doesn’t recognize the danger that arises within.”
The Foundation of Suffering

🎯 Daily practice
When facing difficulty, ask:
- 🫸 Am I wanting something to be different? (Greed)
- ⚡ Am I pushing away or rejecting something? (Hatred)
- 🌀 Am I seeing clearly or caught in confusion? (Delusion)
Identifying the root allows you to apply the appropriate antidote with precision.
