4. “Mendicants, a meal designator who has four qualities is cast down to hell.
5. What four?
6. They make decisions prejudiced by favoritism, hostility, stupidity, and cowardice.
7. A meal designator who has these four qualities is cast down to hell.
8. A meal designator who has four qualities is raised up to heaven.
9. What four?
10. They make decisions unprejudiced by favoritism, hostility, stupidity, and cowardice.
11. A meal designator who has these four qualities is raised up to heaven.
12. All those people with unbridled sensuality,
13. unprincipled, with no respect for principle,
14. led astray
    by favoritism, hostility, stupidity, or cowardice,
15. are called ‘an assembly of the dregs’:
16. that’s what was said by the ascetic who knows.
17. And so those praiseworthy true persons,
18. standing on principle, doing nothing wrong,
19. not led astray
    by favoritism, hostility, stupidity, or cowardice,
20. are called ‘an assembly of the cream’:
21. that’s what was said by the ascetic who knows.”
