4. Standing to one side, the godling Nandivisāla addressed the Buddha in verse:
5. “Four are its wheels, and nine its doors;
6. it’s stuffed full, bound with greed,
7. and born from a bog.
8. Great hero, how will I keep going?”
9. “Having cut the strap and harness—
10. wicked desire and greed—
11. and having plucked out craving, root and all:
12. that’s how you will keep going.”
