5. “Who has no disturbances?
6. What thoughtful one, having known both ends,
7. is not stuck in the middle?
8. Who do they say is a great man?
9. Who here has escaped the seamstress?”
10. “Leading the spiritual life among sensual pleasures,”
11. replied the Buddha,
12. “rid of craving, ever mindful;
13. a mendicant who, after appraisal, is quenched:
14. that’s who has no disturbances.
15. That thoughtful one, having known both ends,
16. is not stuck in the middle.
17. He is a great man, I declare,
18. he has escaped the seamstress here.”
