8. I’ve done what had to be done.
9. I’ve realized the Dhamma,
10. witnessing it for myself, not based on hearsay.
11. With purified knowledge, free of doubt,
12. I declare it in your presence.
13. I know my past lives,
14. my clairvoyance is purified,
15. I’ve realized my own true goal,
16. and fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions.
17. Being diligent in the training,
18. I learned your teachings well.
19. All my defilements are ended;
20. now there’ll be no more future lives.
21. You advised me in noble observances;
22. sympathetic, you helped teach me.
23. Your instruction was not in vain—
24. I, your pupil, am fully trained.
