3. Sundarīnandā
4. “Nandā, see this bag of bones as
5. diseased, filthy, and rotten.
6. With mind unified and serene,
7. meditate on the ugly aspects of the body:
8. as this is, so is that,
9. as that is, so is this.
10. A foul stink wafts from it,
11. it is the fools’ delight.”
12. Reflecting in such a way,
13. tireless all day and night,
14. having broken through
15. with my own wisdom, I saw.
16. Being diligent,
17. rationally investigating,
18. I truly saw this body
19. both inside and out.
20. Then, growing disillusioned with the body,
21. I became dispassionate within.
22. Diligent, detached,
23. I’m quenched and at peace.
