3. Soṇā
4. I gave birth to ten sons
5. in this form, this bag of bones.
6. Then, when feeble and old,
7. I approached a nun.
8. She taught me the Dhamma:
9. the aggregates, sense fields, and elements.
10. When I heard her teaching,
11. I shaved off my hair and went forth.
12. When I was a trainee nun,
13. my clairvoyance was clarified,
14. and I knew my past lives,
15. the places I used to live.
16. I meditate on the signless,
17. my mind unified and serene.
18. I achieved the immediate liberation,
19. quenched by not grasping.
20. The five aggregates are fully understood;
21. they remain, but their root is cut.
22. Curse you, wretched old age!
23. now there’ll be no more future lives.
